It’s 2022 and I only have a few days left before I leave for my 11 month mission trip. At church today we sang “New Wine” by Hillsong Worship and the lyrics hit me differently this time.
“So I yield to You into Your careful hand
When I trust You I don’t need to understand
Make me Your vessel
Make me an offering
Make me whatever You want me to be
I came here with nothing
But all You have given me
Jesus bring new wine out of me”
Ever since the decision to join World Race I’ve truly come to understand what it means to trust in Him, especially when I have no clue what’s happening next. I’ve learned to take one step at a time towards the goal and that God’s got this for me. During this time of fundraising I’ve received so much confirmation, that this is the right thing to do, and I’ve been blessed with more confidence in Him now more than ever.
I came to America with literally nothing (except the few English words I knew), but God taught me through these 11 years that I only need Him and in Him I have everything. The highest form of gratitude is the recognition that “in Him we move, live, and have our being!”(Acts 17:28)
My heart is full of so much love from my family and friends and those that have supported me during this journey. I’m blown away every time I think about the love and support I’ve received. I’m fully funded because all of you. Thank you and God is Good.
I’m going to miss my family and friends so much, and I’m going to think of all of you as I take this next step towards 2022 and all this new adventure.
I love you all so much.
